My name is Greta.  I am 40 years old, married, and have 3 kids.   When I submitted my evaluation to Meg in December, I listed my end goal as “Look fucking hot in a bikini on the beach in Florida”.  I had grown too thin in my former calorie-counting/scale-weighing obsession and I needed to learn how to pack on muscle and eat healthfully, pronto.

It took me about 3 weeks to understand and incorporate all the elements of Meg’s plan into my daily life.  Once I was eating the proper macros, lifting all the heavy shit, completing the mini challenges, and doing the HIIT, nothing could stop me!

But it only took me about 2 seconds to fall in love with all of the other Hotties.  The encouragement and support given by complete stranger women was impeccable from start to finish.  Having a group of women to cheer with and fret with about our health and our choices made the Challenge the best thing happening in my life at the time.

I relished every minute of the Hardcore Hottie Challenge, even when I was pushed incredibly hard to grow in my mentals.  My feelings of self-doubt and not being good enough wilted away as I increased my muscle mass and my brain’s capacity for self-love.

This picture is from this week on the beach in Florida.  It was cold and raining and I was the only one who stripped down to a swimsuit, but I had just been named a finalist for this Challenge.  For 12 weeks, I had built a muscular strong body and it was time to complete my final mental challenge: Walk around that beach confidently and with pride because I am good enough.  My body is mine and in whatever state I keep it, I will love it.

So, amongst the umbrellas and orange ponchos, my sister snapped pictures of me for 20 minutes in the cold rain while I danced around and struck poses and reveled in the new me!  Challenge complete!  I’m a Hardcore Hottie!
